DASH3 – Austin, TX

Event takes place at 2011-04-30 10:00:00.

What is DASH?

DASH (Different Area -- Same Hunt) is a one-day, walking puzzle hunt which takes place in multiple cities across the country on the same day.  Think a more relaxed The Amazing Race, but with a puzzle at every clue stop.

When and where?

In Austin, DASH 3 starts at 10 AM on Saturday, April 30, 2011.  The full version of the game will last up to 7.5 hours, but if any beginning teams are looking for a shorter experience, we are happy to help arrange that as well.  The starting location in downtown Austin will be sent to registered teams before April 30th.

What if I've never played in a puzzle hunt before?

Puzzle hunts are all the rage on the West Coast, with over 50 teams signed up for DASH 3 in both the SF Bay Area and Seattle.  Few people in Texas have ever had the opportunity to participate in a puzzle hunt, and we hope to change this!

You'd be surprised at how easy it is to start solving. DASH is a great opportunity for first time puzzle hunters. The goal is for everyone to have fun, so you'll get all the help and hints you want! Just to make sure you're not totally lost, we recommend looking at past puzzles so you get an idea of what to expect:

(Note: These clues were designed for teams of four to solve.)

How many players can be on a team?

A team can be anywhere from 2 - 6 people. The recommended number is 4 people.

What is the entry fee?

$30 per team.

I want to play, but I don't have a team.

No problem! Send us an email at austin@playdash.org and we'll try to match you up with a team that is looking for more members. We are also looking for more people to help us run the event.
