What is a puzzle hunt?
A puzzle hunt is a fun, interactive event in which teams of players race to find and solve creative clues hidden in different locations. The solution of one clue will reveal the location of the next hidden clue. There is a short five to ten minute walk between clues.
What if I've never played in a puzzle hunt before?
You'd be surprised at how easy it is to start solving. DASH is a great opportunity for first time puzzle hunters. The goal is for everyone to have fun, so you'll get all the help and hints you want! Just to make sure you're not totally lost, we recommend looking at past puzzles so you get an idea of what to expect. DASH 1 puzzles are here and DASH 2 puzzle are here. (Note: These clues were designed for teams of about four to solve.)
How much does it cost? How long does it last? Where does it start?
Forty dollars per team, which is $10 per person for a four-person team. We are currently planning a 7+ hour window of time to solve all the puzzles. We will be solving in the heart of Santa Rosa; the exact starting location is revealed to registered teams only.
Who is running the Santa Rosa edition?
Andrea Blake, Given Clatterbaugh, and Scott Royer, of The Smoking GNU.
