What is DASH?
DASH (Different Area--Same Hunt) is a one-day, walking puzzle hunt (similar to a SNAP) which takes place in several cities across the country on the same day. DASH 3 will run in 12 cities on April 30, 2011.
When and where is the event?
DASH 3 Seattle will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Team check-in will begin at 8:30am on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the "Late for the Interurban" statue in Fremont (near 703 N 34th St, Seattle). The event will begin at 9:00am. We will have a hard stop at 5:30pm, with a reception and wrap-up to follow.
What should I bring?
Each team should be sure to have the following supplies:
- traveling supplies: comfortable shoes, snacks, water, sunscreen and/or rain gear (as appropriate)
- Most locations will be outdoors and uncovered, so be prepared to protect both yourselves and your puzzles from the elements.
- puzzling supplies: pens/pencils, paper, scissors, tape, colored pencils, straight edge (a ruler or the edge of a clipboard will suffice)
- a smartphone capable of downloading and playing MP3s from a website (if this will be a problem for your team, please let us know ASAP so we can make other arrangements)
What happens if it rains?

Seriously? You'll get wet. Most locations will be outdoors, so bring gear appropriate for Seattle weather to protect both yourselves and your puzzles.
Could the event sell out?
Yes. We will be accepting 40 teams, and based on previous events, these spots will fill up fast. Additional teams will be added to a waitlist, and some will be given the opportunity to participate in the Beta on April 3.

How many players can be on a team?
Team size will be 4 to 5 players. If there are extenuating circumstances that require your team to not fit these requirements, please e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is there an entry fee? How do I pay?
Yes. The cost will be $40 per team (regardless of team size). Payment information will be sent to teams once they are registered and accepted.

Who is the Seattle DASH GC?
DASH 3 is being run in Seattle by the Thoroughbreds of Sin (Brett Wortzman, Brittany Behrens, Chris Malizia, Chris Downie, and Will Rall).
