Event takes place at 10:00 AM on May 18.

How long is the puzzle hunt?

The event will last from about 10am to 4 or 5 pm.  There will be opportunities to eat, drink and use restrooms along the way. 

What size do teams need to be?

The recommended size for a team is 3-5 people.  The puzzles are designed for that size but larger or smaller teams will not be excluded.  If you are a single participant please contact the GCs and we will try to place you on a team.  

How much will it cost?

The price is $40 per team.  

How to register a team?

Click on the icon on the top of this page to go to the main registation page.  Register and indicate Austin as the city in which you will be participating.  Please use an email that is regualrly checked for your team when registering, because that is the way the GCs will distrubute important information for the event.   

What will the weather and environment be like?

The puzzle hunt will be mostly outdoors, probably sunny and warm.  The puzzle hunt will involve walking 3-4 miles over the 5 hours.  The travel time will not be timed and can be done leisurely.  

What supplies will be needed for the puzzle hunt?

We recommend that you bring the following:

  • Pens, pencils or writing utensils at least equal to the number of team members if not a few extras. 
  • A few pairs of scissors, tape and scratch paper.  
  • As you will be working mostly at outdoor locations clipboards or other items to write and work on are helpful.
  • Smartphones or other internet able devices.  Some of the puzzles may be easier if you are able to look up information and this is allowed and encouraged.  
  • Some snacks and water.  Some will be provided at the beginning of the day and there will be places to stop throughout the day.  
  • Good walking shoes and weather approriate clothing.  
  • Sunscreen as you will be outside all day probably in the sun.
