Event Start Time: 10:00 AM on April 30, 2016

Event Start Location: Anderson Park Picnic Shelter, 7802 168th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052

  • When and where?

Registration for the Seattle event will start at 9am Pacific time, with the event starting promptly at 10am.  We'll wrap up by 7pm.  The starting location is Anderson Park, 7802 168th Ave NE, Redmond, WA 98052.  The location is near the Redmond Transit Center for folks busing.  There is also plenty of parking at the nearby Redmond Town Center.

  • What about the weather?

The event will be held mostly outdoors, rain or shine.  While it may not be cool to carry an umbrella in Seattle, if there's going to be rain, you probably want one to protect the puzzles at least.

  • What to bring?

    • At least one Andriod or iOS7 smartphone running the ClueKeeper App. Register for a ClueKeeper account, download the hunt, and add your teammates before you arrive.
    • Usual puzzle solving gear: pens, pencils, highlighters, scratch paper, scotch tape, scissors, colored pens/pencils, etc.
    • Water bottles
    • Food or money for buying food along the route
    • Clip boards
    • A picnic blanket if you have one. The route has lots of parks, and competition for benches will be fierce at some locations.
    • See the FAQ for a more comprehensive list.
  • How much physical activity is involved?

Expect to walk 3 miles over the course of the day.  Our route this year does not have hills.  Let us know when you arrive if this is a concern for your team.

  • How big should my DASH team be?

The optimal size for a team is 3-5 players.  We encourage you to split into two teams if you have more than 5 players, because it can get difficult for everyone to collaborate on puzzles.

If several of your team members have done puzzle events before (DASH, SNAP, Microsoft Puzzle Hunt, Microsoft Puzzle Safari, escape rooms), you probably want to pick "Expert."

If no one or only one person on your team has done this sort of thing before, or if you previously found the puzzles more hard than fun, pick "Normal."

  • How do I register my team?

One person from your team should register at Eventbrite.
