DASH is a puzzle hunt in which teams of 3 to 5 players solve puzzles in a friendly competition. As each puzzle is solved, more of the hunt's ongoing story is revealed, and teams receive directions to walk to another nearby location for the next puzzle.
A "puzzle" has a few cryptic instructions, and often has elements like a list of crossword clues, a bunch of strange images, or a string of numbers and letters. If you'd like some examples, the FAQ has some puzzles from prior DASH events.
DASH 12 will have 9 puzzles; we expect most teams will spend 6-8 hours and cover 3-5 km during the event. The exact route and start time are being finalized, but it will be in Taipei City and start between 9-10am.
DASH is a popular event that started in the US and has been run 11 times prior (hence the "12" in the upcoming one); we are excited to bring this event to Taipei for the first time this year. The main DASH 12 page lists other participating cities.

The registration fee is NT$2600 for a team of 3-5 players. Please coordinate with your teammates to ensure that you purchase only one registration for your team.
Registration has ended and materials have been ordered. You can add your team to the waitlist at no expense. If space and materials become available at this event, you will be notified and may register by paying at that time.
Registration Terms
The registration fee of NT$2600 is for a team of 3-5 players.
If the event is full, you may add your team to a waitlist. If space becomes available, you will be notified via email and will have 48 hours to respond and make payment to secure your spot. If you do not reply within this time, your spot may be offered to another team. Please add playdash.org to your email allowlist.
Expect the event to run rain or shine. You will not receive a refund if you do not participate in the event.
If you cancel a paid registration on or before July 1, 2025, you will receive a refund of 95% of the amount you paid.
If you cancel a paid registration after July 1, 2025, you will not receive a refund unless a team from the waitlist registers and takes your place. In that case, you will receive a refund of 85% of the amount you paid.
